I. Churches in Trujillo
A. Cristo Rey (Christ the King) — downtown Trujillo
- Lead Pastor Ezequías Vásquez, a product of the RUF university ministry and Peru Mission seminary
- His wife Megan, originally from Minnesota, came through Campus Crusade
B. Arévalo Church — largest of the three congregations
- Located adjacent to Geneva School and the medical clinic
- Dale and Susan's home church since 2008; Dale serves as ruling elder alongside Pastor Ricardo and Pastor Luis
C. Cristo Redentor (Christ the Redeemer) — industrial park neighborhood
- Pastor Percy Padilla has led since the church's founding
- Oscar (Rebecca's husband) assists with youth discipleship and evangelism
- Congregation of approximately 40 members; neighborhood marked by poverty, flooding, and gang activity
II. Churches in Cajamarca (Mountain Region)
A. Approximately 10 church plants in the mountain areas, overseen by Alonzo Ramírez B. Only two congregations currently have full-time pastors; others rely on circuit preaching
III. University Ministry
A. Trujillo has numerous universities, making it a strategic location for campus outreach B. Pastor Alexis, a product of the Arévalo church and Peru Mission seminary, now leads both the university ministry and the seminary
- Previously led by Stuart Mills before his return to RTS Jackson for a counseling degree
- Alexis is an avid reader; Dale regularly brings him books from the US
IV. Medical Clinic
A. Dale's original calling — trained as a lab technician, he established the laboratory which grew into a full clinic B. Over 7,000 patients seen in 2023 C. Four outreach medical campaigns conducted in surrounding neighborhoods D. Pastors Ricardo, Luis, and Percy provide counseling to patients who request it E. A visiting medical team from Lewisville, Mississippi (Dr. Sam Stubble's church) is planned for July
V. Geneva School
A. Founded in 2015; currently serves grades K–9 (adding one grade per year), with approximately 280 students B. Academic director María and administrator Jefferson manage daily operations C. Most students are unchurched, making the school a primary evangelism avenue D. Daily chapel includes singing, a short Bible lesson, and instruction from the Shorter Catechism E. School is nearly self-sustaining at approximately $60/month tuition; summer construction teams help build new classrooms
VI. Christ Kids Child Sponsorship Program
A. $50/month sponsors a child from the Arévalo or Cristo Redentor congregations B. Benefits include bi-annual health checkups, dental cleaning, parasite treatment, psychological assessment, and after-school tutoring C. Approximately 68 children enrolled at Arévalo; nearly 100 total across both churches D. During the pandemic, sponsorship funds purchased tablets with data for at-home Bible lessons and tutoring E. Website: perumission.org — "Christ Kids" tab
VII. Noah's Ark Summer Camp
A. Held each January (Southern Hemisphere summer); historically partnered with Twin Lakes Camp from First Presbyterian Church, Jackson B. Suspended for three years during the pandemic; resumed in 2024 with nearly 200 children and 60 volunteer counselors C. Each church follows camp with a VBS week to retain and follow up with campers
VIII. Ouri Micro-Finance / Cooperative Program
A. Originally offered small loans to women starting micro-businesses B. Shifting model to a savings cooperative (similar to a credit union) due to the abundance of commercial credit in Peru C. Will incorporate Bible studies and business management training D. Currently delayed by legal and documentation hurdles
IX. Personnel and Administration
A. Dale manages finances and payroll for approximately 80 staff (teachers, clinic workers, pastors, Christ Kids staff) B. Also oversees Geneva School administration and coordinates visiting teams C. Susan currently in Pearl, Mississippi, caring for her mother who has dementia and a broken back D. 59 new members received across all three Trujillo churches in 2023; 18 baptisms; 1 wedding; 1 pastoral ordination (Pastor Luis)
